Hello, everyone. I want to apologize for my lengthy silence on this site, particularly after beginning a new series analyzing works of classic literature. I have gone through several substantial changes over the past few years, including attending and graduating law school and passing the Florida bar exam. While my absence had its reasons, I acknowledge that it has left my readers wondering what is happening. Beyond simply explaining where I have been for nearly 4 years, I also want to take this opportunity to spell out my plans for the rest of this year.
First, and most importantly, is the third book in the Newton's Moon Saga. The Battle for Newton's Moon will pick up immediately where The Race to Newton's Moon left off. Emperor Hideyoshi is dead, and civil war looms in the Eternal Dragon Empire. The pirate warlord Buti Savimbi seeks to consolidate power in the newly-declared League of Independent Worlds. Meanwhile, the crew of the Lucky Rabbit's Foot have learned that Newton's Moon is not a source of endless riches but is rather the most dangerous weapon mankind has ever designed. Can our heroes uncover the secrets of Newton's Moon before they are swept away in the tide of war, or will the Tau Ceti system fall into tyranny forever? Find out later this year in The Battle for Newton's Moon, currently on-track for a release in late Summer or early Fall.
Beginning in April, I will also begin posting to this blog every Friday. Topics will range from analysis of current trends in pop culture to my thoughts on the impact of generative artificial intelligence on the creative landscape and much more. I will also provide a relatively short overview of key elements of entertainment law to help educate fellow creators on topics like contracts, intellectual property law, and more.
To those of you who have waited for updates over the past few years, thank you for your patience. To those of you just joining the adventure, welcome aboard! This is an exciting time, and I have many further projects in development that I hope to announce soon. For now, though, it's good to be back.
